Every week in my search for blog inspiration I run across similar themes over and over again such as lists on how to be a better leader. Another go to subject about which bloggers write when they evidently can think of nothing else is a list about how to be successful.
Most people want to be successful so of course these lists are generally popular, but how many lists do we really need on this subject and how good is the advice for that matter? Evidently this post is for more mature readers because “drink a six pack” was not listed as a way to increase confidence. Regardless, their tips on not walking hunched over and taking a shower do seem logical.
5 Signs You’re Standing in Your Own Way to Success – Entrepreneur
Alas even after I’ve plowed over everyone else on my path to greatness I find myself standing in the road before me. I hit the gas.
“Work for a great company,” is one of the suggestions. Well I guess I’d better apply to Apple and Google before everyone else catches on and does the same thing.
“Writing sarcastic blog posts” is not on the list so score one for me!

So what is the true key to success? Don’t do drugs? Stay in school? Drink your Ovaltine? Obviously success comes from a combination of doing many things right and not doing many things wrong. In the end nothing will be achieved if you don’t get off your rear and try to make success happen. As Wayne Gretsky put it, “You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take.”
